The Las Vegas Rattlers are a defunct professional basketball team that competed in the American Basketball Association from 2004-2006. The team was the ABA's second attempt at a Las Vegas team, as the Rattlers originally played as the Las Vegas Slam before folding, then coming back as the Rattlers.
The Rattlers were based in Las Vegas, Nevada and played their games at the Allstate Arena.

History[]
The Chicago Skyliners were one of the ABA's charter franchises in the 2000-2001 season. Even though they were one of the ABA's better teams, the Skyliners would relocate the following season.
Las Vegas Slam[]
The team ended-up moving to Las Vegas, where they would become the Las Vegas Slam. They played for a single season in the ABA before folding.
Las Vegas Rattlers[]
The Slam would later be revived as the Las Vegas Rattlers in the 2004-2005 season. The Rattlers would also play only one season in the ABA before folding.
Las Vegas Venom/PROLYMs[]
The Rattlers would be replaced by the Las Vegas Venom, who would later be renamed the Las Vegas PROLYMs.
The PROLYMs themselves would fold in the 2007-2008 season.

2000-2001[]
In their first season as the Chicago Skyliners, the team would go 31-12 and be defeated in the league's championships by the Detroit Dogs.
2001-2002[]
In their first - and only - season as the Las Vegas Slam, the team would go 7-20 and be defeated in the second round of the playoffs by the Kansas City Knights 2004-2005 In their first season the Las Vegas Rattlers would go 9-6 and be defeated in the first round of the playoffs by the Long Beach Jam.
