The Tampa Bay ThunderDawgs are a defunct professional basketball team that played in the American Basketball Association. The ThunderDawgs were created in the ABA's inaugural season (2000-2001) and were based in St. Petersburg, Florida.
The ThunderDawgs played their home games at the Bayfront Center.

The Tampa Bay ThunderDawgs were created as one of the ABA's charter franchises, and only played in the league's inaugural season.
The franchise had plans to relocate after it's first season but it's plan failed and it folded due to time constraints.

2000-2001[]
In their first - and only - season, the Tampa Bay ThunderDawgs went 15-26 and were defeated in the first round of the playoffs by the Detroit Dogs.
